Construction. A transfer. I\u2019m not threatening you. I\u2019m telling you I cannot go back to pretending this is normal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mom stared at him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re leaving me because of Claire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t lie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m leaving the situation because I finally understand how often I helped you do this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her voice cracked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo what?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDecide first.
